Kim is one of the most talented and deeply trained therapists in this area. Specializing in both adults and pediatrics, she has a long list of training to the benefit of her clients. In the Upledger curriculum she has taken: CST 1, 2, SER 1, 2, CST for Pediatrics, LDT 1, 2, 3, Adv, LDB 1, 2, Healing from the Core 1, 2, and Visceral Manipulation 1A, 1B (2). She is also a Certified Baby Massage Instructor, and a Reiki Master and Instructor. She is a teaching assistant for Upledger’s CST and LDT curricula. She has been a bodyworker/massage therapist for 7 years and graduated in 2000 from the Healing Hands Holistic Health Center.
Kathy joined our staff in 2005. She has been a licensed PT for over 26 years, working in Acute care and Pediatrics. She has taken Upledger courses in CST 1, 2, SER, LDT and PT classes in upper and lower extremity evaluation and treatment, Pregnancy & Postpartum Clinical Highlights. She is known for her effective treatment of Low Back Pain, pelvic alignment and has an extraordinary touch with lymphatic drainage techniques. She gained her BSPT from Oakland University in 1981.
Renu is one of our latest additions to our PT team…and what an addition she is. Renu brings with her over 30 years experience in integrative physical therapy. She has taken Upledger courses in CST 1, 2, and LDT 1 and 2. She has also had training in Myofascial Release, Reiki 1, 2, Feldenkrais Method, E1V1, E2V2 and MVA:Whiplash injury and treatment. Renu is a wealth of integrative knowledge and expertise. Her enthusiasm for the profession is almost as contagious as her smile! She graduated as a Physical Therapist from the School of Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy in Colobo, Sri Lanka.
Dawn has been an essential component of the CSI PT team since 2010. She is Upledger trained in CST1, and combines her PTA expertise with cranial and tissue emphasis, as well as strong orthopedic and exercise based programs. Her background includes SubAcute and Acute Rehab, geriatrics and out patient physical therapy. She is a fully licenced PTA and obtained her degree in 1990 from Macomb Community College. She enjoys all areas of Physical Therapy and her dedication to providing caring, compassionate care to her patients is a perfect match to the CSI philosophy.
Kathleen has a very diverse background in OT spanning over 15 years in the field. She has worked in acute care (hospital based therapy), home care, out patient in all areas including equipment, splinting, specialized hand and arm therapy, pediatrics, sensory therapy, orthopedics and neurologic rehabilitation. Kathleen oversees our private pay FSM program. She is certified in the Handing Writing Without Tears program. She is a great therapist for both adults and pediatrics, integrating a wealth of medical based experience with her complementary skills. Kathleen is Upledger trained in CST 1, 2 and LDT.
Vanessa opened the CranioSacral Institute of MI in early 2004 after finding CST for her own health concerns. See Vanessa’s Story to read more about her personal journey with integrative health. She graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1992 with a BS in Health Science and in 1994 with a MSPT. She has been practicing PT in many areas since then. She has worked in the Physical Therapy realm in nearly all areas of practice and enjoys patient care from pediatrics to geriatrics, orthopedic to neurologic rehab. She initially built a strong therapy team focused on hands on therapy options. In 2006 she brought Frequency Specific Microcurrent into the practice to further help her clients. Under her leadership, CSI of MI has become one of the most progressive clinics in the country providing this therapy option. Vanessa has taken and teaches a multitude of classes in Frequency Specific Microcurrent(FSM) and is distinguished as one of 3 National Level FSM Core Instructors. She annually teaches portions of the FSM Advanced Course and is a regular presenter nationally. She acts as a vital support for FSM practitioners; providing academic support daily to MDs, DOs, DCs, PTs, OTs, RNs, Trainers and others throughout the world. She is the acting Treasurer for the FSM Research Foundation; a non-profit organization formed to advance research in this exciting new area of treatment. Vanessa has taken Upledger classes in CST 1 through Advanced CST and LDT. She has taught and developed a unique cranial based course called Cranial From Me to You. She is an Advanced trained Reconnective Healing practitioner. Vanessa does a limited number of direct treatments, but spends most of her time developing new therapy techniques, writing, teaching, and developing new classes.
