Kimberly (Kim) Lovell, MT

Kim is one of the most talented and deeply trained therapists in this area. Specializing in both adults and pediatrics, she has a long list of training to the benefit of her clients. In the Upledger curriculum she has taken: CST 1, 2, SER 1, 2, CST for Pediatrics, LDT 1, 2, 3, Adv, LDB 1, 2, Healing from the Core 1, 2, and Visceral Manipulation 1A, 1B (2). She is also a Certified Baby Massage Instructor, and a Reiki Master and Instructor. She is a teaching assistant for Upledger’s CST and LDT curricula. She has been a bodyworker/massage therapist for 7 years and graduated in 2000 from the Healing Hands Holistic Health Center.
 

Toni Piluso, CMT

Toni brings a wealth of diversity to her treatment sessions. She has taken Upledger CST 1, 2, SER1, 2 and CST for Pediatrics. She has also taken Healing from the Core: Grounding & Healthy Boundaries, Healing the CNS, and Healing Pelvic Floor Trauma. She is a 2003 graduate from the Health Enrichment Center and obtained National certification in 2004.
 

Caryn Burns, MT

Caryn has a beautiful ability to integrate soft tissue massage work with all of her other training. She has taken Upledger CST 1, 2, SER, LDT 1, and Heart Centered Therapy. She is a 2002 graduate from Lakewood Therapeutic Massage School, where she also received training in sports massage, aromatherapy, polarity and craniosacral therapy. She is well known for her “gentle approach” to deep tissue work.
 



 

Kathleen Scott, OTR

Kathleen has a very diverse background in OT spanning over 15 years in the field. She has worked in acute care (hospital based therapy), home care, out patient in all areas including equipment, splinting, specialized hand and arm therapy, pediatrics, sensory therapy, orthopedics and neurologic rehabilitation. Kathleen oversees our private pay FSM program. She is certified in the Handing Writing Without Tears program. She is a great therapist for both adults and pediatrics, integrating a wealth of medical based experience with her complementary skills. Kathleen is Upledger trained in CST 1, 2 and LDT.



 

Katrina “Kathy” Meinhard, PT

Kathy joined our staff in 2005. She has been a licensed PT for over 26 years, working in Acute care and Pediatrics. She has taken Upledger courses in CST 1, 2, SER, LDT and PT classes in upper and lower extremity evaluation and treatment, Pregnancy & Postpartum Clinical Highlights. She is known for her effective treatment of Low Back Pain, pelvic alignment and has an extraordinary touch with lymphatic drainage techniques. She gained her BSPT from Oakland University in 1981.
 

Cynthia “Cindy” Edmonson, PTA, CLT

Cindy joined the CSI team in 2006, coming from the field of geriatric and subacute rehabilitation. She has been a Physical Therapy Assistant for 6 years and is a graduate from Henry Ford Community College. She has taken Upledger courses in CST 1, 2, LDT and SER. She is also Lymphedema certified in Vodder technique. Cindy is known for her great ability to teach each patient about their health and integrating multiple modalities for a truly individualized program.
 

Suneetha “Renu” Ramawickrama, PT, GCFP

Renu is one of our latest additions to our PT team…and what an addition she is. Renu brings with her over 30 years experience in integrative physical therapy. She has taken Upledger courses in CST 1, 2, and LDT 1 and 2. She has also had training in Myofascial Release, Reiki 1, 2, Feldenkrais Method, E1V1, E2V2 and MVA:Whiplash injury and treatment. Renu is a wealth of integrative knowledge and expertise. Her enthusiasm for the profession is almost as contagious as her smile! She graduated as a Physical Therapist from the School of Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy in Colobo, Sri Lanka.
 

Amy Crawley, PTA

Amy joins us on a contingent basis. When not helping us out, she works with St. John’s Hospital in acute care and rehab. She has been a Physical Therapy Assistant for 6 years and is a graduate from Macomb Community College. She has taken Upledger courses in CST 1, 2, SER and LDT. She has a great rapport with both adults and pediatrics.
 

Vanessa Cayle, MSPT
Owner/Director

Vanessa opened the CranioSacral Institute of MI in early 2004 after finding CST for her own health concerns. See Vanessa’s Story to read more about her personal journey with integrative health. She graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1992 with a BS in Health Science and in 1994 with a MSPT. She has been practicing PT in many areas since then. She started her career in Neurological Rehab at Rehab Institute of MI, moved to Acute care, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics at Sparrow Hospital, then on to School based therapy. In 1997 she started a contract therapy company called ProActive Therapy. With ProActive Therapy, she and her team provided PT and OT services to Lansing area schools, while Vanessa also worked as a consultant to multiple school districts. After moving to the Romeo area, she worked in Orthopedics and with the Macomb Intermediate School District. She continues to enjoy all aspects of physical therapy, from pediatrics to geriatrics, orthopedic to neurologic r ehab.

Vanessa has taken Upledger classes in CST 1, 2, SER1, 2, Advanced CST and LDT. She is a certified presenter through Upledger Institute. She teaches one and 2 day classes in CST, lectures and presents on CST. She has also had training in Reconnection Healing. She has taken classes in Frequency Specific Microcurrent for: Core Training, Fibromyalgia, Advanced FSM, and the FSM Neurotransmitter Workshop. She is a certified practitioner of FSM. Vanessa sits on the National Advisory Committee for FSM and is proud to be one of 6 practitioners to join the Instructors tract for FSM.

Vanessa does a limited number of direct treatments, but spends most of her time developing new therapy techniques, writing, teaching, and developing new classes. Her writings can be found regularly in Healing Garden Journal and other local publications. You can read some of her writings at our Publications.
